Right to Information Act

Implementation of 'The Right to Information Act, 2005' in the Universities / Colleges The Right to Information Act, 2005 (22 of 2005) has been enacted by the Parliament and has come into force from 15 June, 2005. This Act provides for right to information for citizens to secure access to information under the control of public authorities in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority. All Universities and Colleges established by law made by Parliament or by State Legislature or by notification by the appropriate Government or owned, controlled or substantially financed directly or indirectly by funds provided by the Government shall come within the meaning of a Public Authority under this Act.

Whereas, some provisions of this act have come into effect immediately on its enactment (that is on 15 June 2005), other provisions shall come into effect on 100 / 120 days of its enactment. All universities and colleges are therefore advised to carefully go through this Act and take necessary steps for implementation of various provisions including proactive disclosure of certain kind of information. Such information shall be made available to the public at large through the website by the concerned university/college.

Board of Management

The Board of Management of the Our Organization is the Principal Executive Body of the Institution. The Board of Management has the power of management and administration of the Institution and the conduct of all affairs of the Institution not otherwise provided for fulfillment of the objects of the Institution to make it an Institution of excellence for promoting skill based programmes in the field of Vocational training.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board consists of renowned academicians and field functionaries in Vocational Training in India and abroad to give their expert advise on academic policies and programmes of the Our Organization for maintaining high standards of quality training, keeping in view the emerging trends and technologies world over and to advice on measures to ensure effective dissemination of the information related to training.

Executive Council

Executive Council is the principal Council of the Institution to monitor & control the executive functions of the Institution. This Council assists the Board of Management in the discharge of many of its functions of Academic and Administrative nature to strengthen the Institution in all respects.

Academic Council

Academic Council exercises general supervision over the academic work of the Institution, methods of evaluation, research and improvement in academic standards. It lays down curriculum & frame syllabi for various programmes offered by the Institution and promote research activities and programmes. It determines equivalence and improvement in academic standards of the Institution.

Examination Council

Examination Council is the highest body for the conduct of Examination. It lays down pre-examination, actual conduct of examination & post examination processes of of Examinations. The Examination Council appoints Paper Setters, Moderators, Evaluators and also Result Committee. It functions under the overall control of the Board of Management. It takes all measures to maintain reliability, validity and credibility of the examinations conducted by the Institution.

Central Placement Cell

The Central Placement Cell was established in June 2001 to cater the needs of students to face the competitive job market. Student counseling and career services has become the need of “Hour”, for the students graduating in wide variety of discipline. Our Organization recognized for educational excellence in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Science, Law, Engineering, Fine arts and also in the Research & Development as well as in socio-economic equality.

The Mission of the central placement cell is to create an ambience in which new ideas and creativity flourishes. We, at the central placement cell are the official arbitrators for campus placement in various organizations, corporate world, industries, and private sectors.

Functions of Career and Counseling Cell

To gather information of job avenues and placements in different institutions and concerns related to the courses that the University offers.

To analyze information in the local, regional and national contexts to explore its relevance and utility for the students in their Placement and on job-training.

To organize seminars and guidance workshops to inform students about the emerging professional trends and events, job profiles, leadership roles, entrepreneurship, market needs, risks and implementation of national socio-economic policies and to impart training in soft skills. To promote discipline, healthy outlook and positive attitudes towards the national integration and removal of narrow provincial preferences and prejudices.

Planning Commission

Secondary Education is a crucial stage in the educational hierarchy as it prepares the students for higher education and also for the world of work. Classes IX and X constitute the secondary stage, whereas classes XI and XII are designated as the higher secondary stage. The normal age group of the children in secondary classes is 14-16 whereas it is 16-18 for higher secondary classes. The rigour of the secondary and higher secondary stage, enables Indian students to compete successfully for education and for jobs globally. Therefore, it is absolutely essential to strengthen this stage by providing greater access and also by improving qualityin a significant way.

Apprentices Act of 1961

Under the Apprentices Act of 1961, the employers covered under the Act are obliged to take a certain number of apprentices as per the specified ratio and provide training facilities in accordance with the prescribed circular in various designated trades. There are 136 designated trades. 217 industries of various categories have been specified to train apprentices, the number of apprentices undergoing training varies from one year to four years depending upon the designated trade. The minimum educational qualification for entering the trade varies from a pass in Std. V to H.S.C

Training In Industry Programmes

A number of industrial and business organisations, large and medium, provide organised training for their employees. The type of training varies depending upon the organisation and its needs. The training may be of the informal learning type of the type of organised instructional programme with in the plant under the supervision of the personnel department or of a special education and training division. As a general rule, the training confined to the acquisition of occupational knowledge and competences needed to increase productivity in the occupation concerned.

Some programmes cater to providing related information and some instruction of a general education nature. Some are designed to train and retrain employees in specialised areas of occupations. The programmes include apprenticeship and pre-service job training, On-the-job the training and supervisory training.

A good proportion of the present work force is trained as skilled workers, operators and technicians through the system of training-in-industry. Thought limited in scope and application, the training system can provide much needed occupational knowledge and skills extending beyond the normal institutional system of vocational education and training.

Recognition of Academic Qualifications and Degrees

The Distance Learning Division in the Ministry of Human Resource Development receives a number of queries from the general public seeking clarifications in respect of recognition of academic qualifications acquired through distance mode and their acceptance for the purpose of employment in Central/State Government service. The position in this regard is clarified as under:

It is up to the concerned academic institution/university to recognize the qualification including certificate diploma, degree, etc. for the purpose of academic pursuit, i.e. continuing education for acquiring another academic qualification, with it. As regards recognition of academic qualifications for the purpose of employment, it is the prerogative of the concerned employer to take a view on the recognition of the degree, diploma, etc.

Central Government, as an Employer, had made its position clear in respect of academic qualifications; acquired through distance mode of education, for the purpose of employment under it, vide Gazette Notification No.44 dated March 1, 1995. The Gazette Notification referred to above is equally applicable to the qualifications acquired from private as well as public institutions/universities.

Right to Education

The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act or Right to Education Act (RTE), is an Act of the Parliament of India enacted on 4 August 2009, which describes the modalities of the importance of free and compulsory education for children between 6 and 14 in India under Article 21a of the Indian Constitution. India became one of 135 countries to make education a fundamental right of every child when the Act came into force on 1 April 2010.

The Act makes education a fundamental right of every child between the ages of 6 and 14 and specifies minimum norms in elementary schools. It requires all private schools to reserve 25% of seats to children (to be reimbursed by the state as part of the public-private partnership plan). Kids are admitted in to private schools based on economic status or caste based reservations.

It also prohibits all unrecognised schools from practice, and makes provisions for no donation or capitation fees and no interview of the child or parent for admission. The Act also provides that no child shall be held back, expelled, or required to pass a board examination until the completion of elementary education. There is also a provision for special training of school drop-outs to bring them up to par with students of the same age.

Eligibility to Appear in On-Demand Exam

Already registered student of our organization for a programmer being offered by the organization, has the option to appear in the On-Demand Exam provided the student has completed the minimum eligibility time and has valid registration period. The eligible students can appear in the examination through ODES(On-Demand Exam Scemes) as per their wish and preparation as and when they feel ready for the examination, subject to availability of the seats on the day of his/her choice at the On-Demand Exam centre and also the availability of the question bank in that particular course.

Process of Registration for On-Demand Exam

The registration for the On-Demand Exam can be done only online through our website. If an exam fee is paid by Credit Card, the Hall Ticket is generated instantaneously and the student can take its printout. Registration fee can also be paid through bank draft in favour of our organization.

In that case an acknowledgement receipt is generated immediately and the student is required to submit the original bank draft along with a copy of the acknowledgement receipt at the concerned Regional Centre. After receiving the bank draft at the Regional Centre, his/her registration for On-Demand Exam is confirmed and information to that effect is automatically sent to the student's account which can be accessed by him/her using his/her registration number allotted at the time of online registration

PUBLIC VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM (PVTP)

Identification of minimum skills set, which is sufficient to get an employment in the labour

The modules in the PVTP sector, when grouped together could lead to a qualification equivalent to National Trade Certificate or Courses could be available from level 1 to level 3 in different vocations depending upon the need of the employer The main objective of the scheme is to provide employable skills to school leavers, existing workers, ITI graduates, Existing skills of the persons can also be tested and certified under this scheme. Priority will be given to covering those above the age of 14 years who have been or withdrawn as child labour to enable them to learn employable skills in order to get gainful

Methodology and Examination

Methodology

The training methods to be used should be appropriate to the development of competencies. The focus of the programme is on “performing” and not on “Knowing”. Lecturing will be restricted to the minimum necessary and emphasis to be given for learning through active participation and involvement.

The training methods will be individual centered to make each person a competent one. Opportunities for individual work will be provided. The learning process will be continuously monitored and feedback will be provided on individual basis.

Demonstrations using different models, audio visual aids and equipment will be used intensively.

Examination

Our Organization will appoint Examine person to assess the competencies of the trained persons. The Examine person will be an independent person, which will not be involved in conducting the training programme. This, in turn, will ensure quality of training and credibility of the scheme. Keeping in view, the target of providing training/testing of one million persons through out the country and to avoid monopoly, more than one Examine person will be appointed for a sector or an area.

Certificate

Successful persons will be awarded competency-based certificates issued by OUR ORGANIZATION

National Knowledge Comission Recommendation

National Knowledge Comission Recommendation The National Knowledge Commission (NKC) considers Vocational Education and Training (VET) as an important element of the nation’s education initiative. In order for VET to play its part effectively in the changing national context and for India to enjoy the fruits of the demographic dividend, there is an urgent need to redefine the critical elements of imparting vocational education to make them flexible, contemporary, relevant, inclusive and creative. The Government is well aware of the important role of VET and has already taken a number of important initiatives. Through consultations with industry groups, academics, civil society and practitioners, NKC has deliberated ways and means to strengthen these initiatives and recommends the following long and short term strategies.

  • 1. Placing Vocational Education entirely under the Ministry of Human Resource Development .
  • 2. Increasing the flexibility of VET within the mainstream education system.
  • 3. Quantifying and monitoring the impact of vocational education.
  • 4. Increasing resource allocation to vocational education.
  • 5. Expanding capacity through innovative delivery models.
  • 6. Enhancing the training options available for the unorganized and informal sector.
  • 7. Strengthening the current institutional structure.
  • 8. Ensuring a robust regulatory and accreditation framework.
  • 9. Undertaking a re-branding exercise. Our organization aims at developing rural and urban students and thereby our Indian Economy by providing quality Vocational Training Programmes following National Knowledge Commission's recommendation. .

  • If the admission form is incomplete,
  • If the fee paid is short,
  • If the supporting documents are not complete,
  • If false documents have been submitted,
  • If required educational qualifications are not fulfilled,
  • If the minimum age criteria is not fulfilled,
  • If incorrect or wrong information is given,
  • If the Secondary examination is not passed from a recognised board.
  • If more than 03 (three) admission forms are received from the same address.
